Program Manager, Agricultural Stewardship Programs
Alisha Utter, PhD
Alisha leads the Agricultural Stewardship Program for the One Hive Foundation. In this role, she serves as a liaison between the Foundation leadership team, farmers, and community members on programmatic development, implementation, and outreach.
Alisha holds a BA in Environmental Policy/Marine Science from the University of California, San Diego and a PhD in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Vermont where her research focused on agroecology. In addition to academic research, she has over a decade of commercial farming experience. Her background in theoretical academic and practical on-farm research has shaped the innovative perspective that she brings to her work.
Outside of One Hive Foundation, Alisha owns and operates Arbor Farmstead (a diversified veganic farm in Grand Isle, VT) and Arbor Farm Market (a community-centered market specializing in local produce and handmade products in South Hero, VT). She also serves as a board member for various food and farming organizations in Vermont. In her spare time, she enjoys wildcrafting and hiking with her two rescue dogs.
